Message From the Mayor

Thank You for Visiting the Borough of Lindenwold’s Website.

It is my pleasure to welcome the residents, businesses and visitors. This site is offered as a service to the community by the Borough of Lindenwold to provide the residents and visitors with important community information, as well as ongoing activities and events.


Lindenwold Municipal Building is located at,
15 N. White Horse Pike.

Our Council meetings are the second and the fourth Wednesday of every month at Lindenwold’s Municipal Building, 7:00 PM. If you have any questions of your Governing Body, please come to one of our meetings. If you need to speak with me, I can be reached at (856) 783-2121 ext. 236

Lindenwold Library is seeking applications for a part-time Clerk. Library experience is preferred. Applicant will perform a variety of routine clerical tasks which involve data entry, handling of money, answering phones, and other duties as required. Must have excellent oral communication skills, people skills, organizational skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Internet with ability to troubleshoot basic computer problems, and capable of lifting/bending in order to maintain organization of library bookshelves. Some Saturdays and evenings required. Bilingual a plus, but not required.

ASSISTANT MUNICIPAL CLERK/DEPUTY REGISTRAR – Successful candidate must have at least a minimum of three years’ experience in a Municipal Clerk’s Office. Registered Municipal Clerk Certification and Municipal Registrar Certification are preferred but will consider candidates who have the ability to obtain these certifications within the required timeframes. The ideal candidate possesses excellent verbal, written, organizational, and computer/technology skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, website management, and licensing software. Duties within the Borough Clerk’s Office to include assisting with the preparation of agenda, attending meetings and recording minutes of the Borough Council, records management and OPRA compliance, maintaining and recording of all documents, assisting with elections, and assisting with the issuing of a variety of licenses and permits. Registrar’s Duties include knowledge of EDRS and VIP systems as well as all statutory duties of local registrar. Must be able to perform all statutory duties of both a Municipal Clerk and Registrar. New Jersey American Water will begin routine flushing of the fire hydrants starting Monday, May 30 thru June 4 from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. You may notice reduced pressure or discolored water. If your water is discolored, wait until it runs clear before using. This should only take a few minutes. More information is available at

Starting the second week of December, bridge repair will begin on West Park Ave. between Lake Blvd. and Atlantic Ave. Work is expected to take 3 weeks to complete. The road will be closed Monday-Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Traffic will be detoured to Laurel Road.

Notice is hereby given that pursuant to a fair and open process in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5, sealed proposals will be received by the Borough of Lindenwold at its offices at 15 North White Horse Pike, Lindenwold, NJ 08021, on December 7, 2015 at 10:00 am, prevailing time for the following:

Municipal Redevelopment Attorney
Municipal Attorney for Tax Appeals
Municipal Auditor
Municipal Bond Counsel
Municipal Engineer
Municipal Joint Land Use Board Engineer
Risk Management Consultant
Municipal Joint Land Use Board Attorney
Municipal Prosecutor
Municipal Public Defender

TERM: January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016

PURPOSE: The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to solicit interest from qualified firms and/or individual to provide professional services for the Borough of Lindenwold. A qualified firm and/or individual will be selected through a competitive, quality-based, fair and open process at the sole discretion of the Borough.

CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION OF PROPOSALS. Mayor and Council will evaluate each submission and selection will be made upon the following criteria:
1. Appropriate professional license
2. Experience and reputation in the field
3. Sufficient staff
4. Experience and familiarity with the Borough of Lindenwold
5. Compensation fees
6. Availability to accommodate any required meetings of the Borough
7. Disclosure of any potential conflicts of interest that the firm may have in performing these services
8. Other factors determined to be in the best interest of the Borough

COMPLIANCE: In addition, all proposals shall comply with P.L. 1977, c33 requiring submission of a statement of corporate ownership, N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 requiring submission of a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate and the collection of use taxes; and with P.L. 1975, c127 and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq., requiring compliance with equal employment opportunity and affirmative action laws and the submission of proof of compliance therewith.

RESERVATION OF RIGHTS: The Borough of Lindenwold reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, in whole or in part, and to waive any immaterial defect or informality in any proposals as may be permitted by law.

Interested parties should provide four copies of their written response addressing each criteria to Deborah Jackson, Borough Clerk, 15 North White Horse Pike, Lindenwold NJ 08021 in a sealed envelope by December 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. In addition, any questions regarding this Request for Proposals may be submitted to the Borough Clerk. The responses will be opened in public, reviewed by the appropriate Borough officials and reported to Borough Council for the award of these contracts.
